A bad day, and badminton day.
Last Sunday was a bad day for me as i succumbed to flu. Haiz.
My bro came back in the evening and asked me for an activity which we had not done together for a long time.
bro: Gor, there are some pple downstairs playing badminton. Lets go challenge.
me: Huh? How is their level?
bro: they cant play us certainly, but they shld have some decent strokes.
me: let me take a look.
(Took a look)
U sure u wan to waste time playing them?
bro: juz play la, we haven played for some time.
me: *since he sounds so interested and i miss playing with him so much, juz join him ba*
ok!
We went down in in rugged shirts, slippers and asked those workers for friendly games. Winner stay and we stayed for one hour until we feel bad occupying their court for so long and we left.
I set up so that my bro could do all the smashes and drop shots, and he had been attracting all the wowing.
Wad did i do? I held my racket wrongly, locked my elbow, did clumsy runs and all the attacks came to me and seemingly enjoyed the whole process of being a beginner.
My sis missed watching us play and was watching us play for some time, came up and asked.
sis: Why did u play so clumsily?
me: Well, they didn't capitalize on my handicap. Didn't u see i was enjoying it?
She laughed it off.
I was thinking, if my students were to hold the racket the way i held then, they might have been yelled at. If they were to lock their elbows when swinging their racket, i would have made them swing racket 200 times. Something that annoyed me so much when others are doing it, seemed to give me so much fun that day.
