Prostration and what it simply signifies

The Art of prostration, to non-believers, is merely blind faith to idols which have no power to change your life.


The symbolism of the Idols lies in the ultimate truth and the teachings beyond life and death, if the Idols are of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.


To prostrate before them, is the will to pursue greater meaning of life, giving up all forms of ego and pride in the process.


What exactly are ego and pride in this world of infinite past and future, such that you continue hanging on to it only to end up losing more?
