MISSED!
What a day of misses!
We had originally planned for an overseas trip to Penggerang Johore yesterday. But the planning part took a detour as Swee cannot confirm his working hours last week. And as Swee finally told us 2 days ago it would be very rush for him to meet us for the trip, I initially thought of abandoning the idea of going. However, the likes of Ben, ch , and cs were still keen abt going ahead with our overseas short stay, I decided for the go ahead.
I thought: aiya, rooms for the hotels there should be readily available, so i thought probably we can go there to check it out. But my mum cautioned me that there might be religious activities going on and chances are rooms may be fully booked. I felt uneasy and asked my aunt in Penggerang to help me check out, and true enough the hotels are fully booked.
I called ch and ben, and sms cs abt it. I provided them an alternative(to stay my ah gong's house, but transport to sungei ringgit will be a bit tough). Cancelling the trip seemed the best way out. And i postponed it at 11am plus.
At 230pm, fellow ho had to call me to inform me that we continue with the seafood feast at penggerang. My mum pointed that last bumboat there is 4pm and i would not make it in time for the last boat. I refused to listen and told her there should be a way out. I went ahead and true enough again, we missed the last bumboat.
We had this never say die spirit and went Changi ferry terminal since we were told the last ferry departs at 7pm. Happily we went there only to be disappointed again. 1 ferry left at 5pm and we missed it by 10 min, meaning the next one will only come at 7pm, and going there so late meant might as well dun go as we have to get back the next morning and the restaraunts close early.
We were very disappointed. However, we tried every way to console ourselves and ch suggested going "pulau ubin and show them our passports". In the end we went back changi beach to pitch tent.
We had a peaceful day there. We even tried to fly a kite that cant fly due to too little wind. lol. Nonetheless, i enjoyed myself there. Cs dun seem to want to leave the beach. In the end, its hungryness that made him leave.
We had a sumptuous meal of seafood. Gong gong, string ray and squids, though they cannot be compared to the better seafood at penggerang, but they are certainly good seafood that we can find in changi. After that meal, we missed the last bus by 15min, and this is the last miss of the day to end it. I m sure this is an unforgettable experience for us. I get to let out steam which is healthy and i like it.
In the end, i reached home only to eat crabs prepared by my mum, she knew all along i would miss my boat and she prepared my share. I dunno whether to cry or laugh, nvm think this is funny. i ate 2 crabs and many mangosteen.. What a meal, what a day. Haha
