自强不息
天行健,君子以自强不息.
i recalled when i face a problem even earlier in nov, i was helpless and even beg for divine help. He was kind and give me 4 chinese words in a TV: 自强不息.
So wad can this sentence mean? Its means to toughen up oneself and nv falter. These 4 words constituted to the motto of NTU in the early 1960s and NTU was den called Nan Tah, or in other words the Nan Tah spirit.
This is abt the courage to face the problem positively, and by toughening oneself up, one hopes to clear obstacle by obstacle with great sincerity.
When one approaches the difficulty with that level of sincerity, i am sure one day it can even move heaven.
Even if it landed in failure, u can still none the less give urself a pat on the back.
My story:
I remembered playing my 1st pilot pen tournament for TJC as a singles player. My 1st round was an encounter with a Monfort player, and i advanced to the next round with great difficulty. My next round opponent was the den 1st seed of the tournament and anyone could easily guess the outcome. Some dun encourage me to go as they felt its a waste of time, since i would lose anyway. However, i insisted that i go. (somewad of that rat against tough enemy right?=D)
Yup, i lost and finished the game in less than 15 min. But i felt that i won over the audience. It shld be a rather one-sided affair and nothing interesting. Yet, being the weak fellow there, i was trying hard to overcome a overwhelming opponent and that drew the attention of a crowd of pple. Some came up to me and said i did well.
Some was amazed i did many things to motivate myself during the game, i self-talked, i pant discreetly so that my opponent didnt see it. i guess this is a simple demonstration of 自强不息.
Hope it will be able to inspire pple who wans to move on=)
Good luck, good health, i pray hard for those in difficulty=)
