Juz now bothered to take another look at my skin colour and noticed tt i lost my tan. Seems like i am not playing hard enuff for soccer or swimming recently. Gotta buck up man!

Ok today i shall offer a story of "Surrounding the state of Wei to save the State of Zhao from an attack from Wei".

I am sure many can already infer from the title how the story goes, i shall provide a short summary and offer some opinions on this oldie.

The then King of Wei had wanted vengeance on Zhao for attacking one of their territories they had acquired from some smaller country while the nation of Wei was mourning for someone's death. Hence he sent their great general Pang Juan for this mission.

Zhao was panicky and asked the state of Qi for help promising that land in return. The King of Qi sent Sun Bing as the military adviser and Sun suggested not to go head on with the Wei's army. Instead, they shld round up the state of Wei, cut off their supplies, compel the Wei's main forces to withdraw from the state of Zhao. With the ambush laid out for the Wei's forces on their return, Qi's troops overwhelmed the Wei's troops and fought a sound victory.

Well, this is the story, however, does anyone know that Sun and Pang were formerly very close classmates of the Art of War? Sun and Pang served tgt for Wei but Pang was fearful of Sun's talents and therefore crippled and disfigured him. This did not stop a hero from great accomplishments and eventually completing the "Sun tze Art of War".

The title of this entry already suggests us to think out of the box when we are solving problems. So how does the second part help to inspire? I guess we need to learn from Sun's passion and determination.
